Well, what a great time I had yesterday with my Vietnamese soup noodles. I’m glad I made them, as I have a few of these in my kitchen right now. While I was on the phone with my sister, I asked her about the ingredients and she told me that they are basically a mixture of pork, water, and rice. I’m not sure if this is true, but I’m pretty sure I liked the broth a lot. It was a very good bowl of noodles indeed.
The best part about noodle soup is the noodles. The noodles are the star of the show here. As they float in the broth, they soak up liquids and flavor anything that happens to be in it. So in this case, the broth, the noodles, and the noodles’ friends (I guess) are all in this together. The flavors are really interesting, and I have a feeling I’ll be making these noodles at least once or twice more.
This soup is also great because it is so filling. I don’t even remember what I ate, but I was so full I could probably eat it for a few more days. I’ll probably keep this soup in the freezer for later. It’s probably a good idea for people to avoid eating the noodles straight from the package. They have a tendency to get mushy if you take them out of the package.
So that’s a big help. The only thing I can think of is that I have an excuse to get an egg in the soup and make it too hard. It might be a good idea for people to do a quick test and see if its hard to get a bowl of egg noodles out of the package.
I’ve been told, though, that as soon as I get a bowl of egg noodles out of the package, I’ll let that egg out. And you know, I’m not kidding. I’m a big egg noodle fan. I’ve never had egg noodles in my life. I don’t seem to have any problems with egg noodles.
